The Star Necklace Pattern – Digital Download (PDF) is an ideal fun project for anyone getting into bead weaving. It’s a great way to use the versatile Gemduo beads.

The pattern instructions have comprehensive written directions and clear diagrams as well as photographs. Making them easy to follow whether you prefer diagrams or text (everyone learns in different ways). Starting out with beading can be a little daunting, but once you’ve got started working with a needle and thread you’ll be well away. There’s lots of pointers and tips along the way to help with the design too, there also addition video resources linked from the instructions.

The design utilises Matubo Gemduo beads. The two example necklace shown have been created using Jet Azuro Gemduos beads with Galvanised Silver size 11 seed beads (Also available in a kit – Galaxy Star Necklace kit. The second Necklace is has been created with the Summer Rainbow Gemduo Beads and Hematite size 11 seed beads (also available as a kit – Rainbow star Necklace Kit).

Please note, this product is for the digital pattern only (no materials), to complete the necklace you’ll need the following items:

Materials Needed to make a necklace with 5 stars (as set out by the pattern)

5 x Matubo GemDuo 2 hole beads, per star.
Approx. 2g Size 11 seed beads (star outline)
Approx . 0.2g Size 11 seed beads (joining bead, we usually use Transparent Clear for a subtle join)
Size 10 beading needle
Beading thread (Sono, Miyuki or KO would all be suitable)
2 x 5mm jump rings & an 18” ready made chain

You may find a bead mat useful, to stop your bead rolling away. You will also require the use of chain nose pliers and cutters, to attach the chain. The tools are not included with the kit. If you are local to us in Nottingham, you are very welcome to pop in to the the shop to use our tools to attach your chain, if you do not have use of jewellery making pliers.
