Description
The Jewellery Design Sourcebook by David Watkins is wonderful source of information and inspiration for any jewellery maker. First Published in 1999. 125 pages.
From classic bangles and baubles to avant-garde sculptural pieces and body ornaments, this collection of striking photographs showcases the finest work of more than 80 jewellery designers. An eminent jeweller discusses the subject in all its aspects: materials, methods, aesthetics, and the interaction between the wearer and the ring, necklace, or brooch. With such wonderful pieces as Annelies Planteydt’s delicate necklace of hammered gold and Peter Chang’s colourful acrylic and polyester bracelet, this portfolio provides a wealth of ideas and a visual feast.
This second hand book Hana bought while she was studying jewellery design around 18 years ago. This book proved to be of great use at the time. Hana wanted it to become a great use to someone else now. This book is still in a good condition with slight damage to the corners and a little discolouration to the tops of the pages.
