1mm Black Fabric Elastic Thread

Description

1mm black fabric elastic thread is ideal for making elasticated bracelets and necklaces using wood, plastic or large hole beads. To stop fraying and to make it easier to thread beads you can put superglue or nail varnish on the end. Gluing the ends will make the end of the thread into a beading needle. You can also use either an elastic cord needle or a flexible beading needle. The best way to secure this thread is to tie a reef knot and add a little glue, for a neat finish try and pull the knot into a large holed bead.
The fabric elastic is ideal when making jewellery with the kids as it is easy to string and is very strong. You will need scissors to trim this elastic.

We sell these threads in 1 meter lengths or a wholesale reel of 100 meters. We also sell 1mm white fabric elastic and 2mm black fabric elastic. A meter will make approximately 4-5 bracelets, 3-4 anklets or 2 necklaces. Both the black and white elastic are manufactured in the UK.
