2mm Black Fabric Elastic Thread

Description

This 2mm black fabric elastic thread is made up from a single black rubber core and covered by black fabric. Ideal for stringing beaded bracelets or anklets. We would not recommend this for necklaces though but that is at your discretion. We also have 1mm black fabric elastic and 1mm fabric elastic available if you think that 2mm is too thick. The fabric elastic is ideal when making jewellery with the kids as it is easy to string and is very strong. You will need scissors to trim this elastic.

The best way to secure this elastic is to tie a knot (a reef knot works well)! The knot will be quite large so for a neat finish try and pull the knot into a large holed bead. Use either glue or nail varnish to secure the knot. The diameter of this thread is approximately 2mm thick and is ideal for use with large hole beads.
