Trigger Clasps also known as Lobster Claws/Clasps, are one of the many types of clasps that can be used to secure a bracelet or necklace. Our trigger clasps come in either silver or gold plate, copper plated or black plated. The silver plated clasps come in three sizes whilst the gold plated only are available in two. The copper and black platings are currently only available in one size.
We have a 'How to Leaflet' that may help you use these components. barrel clasps , bolt rings , magnetic clasps - round , magnetic clasps - tubular , multi-strand clasps , toggle clasp - medium , toggle clasp - small , torpedo clasps , trigger clasps
Bolt rings are another clasp that can be used to finish off a necklace or bracelet. Our Bolt rings are 7mm in size and are available in gold and silver plate. The bolt rings come with tags, as pictured...
Multi-Strand Clasps The multiple-strand clasps, as the picture shows, has three loops in which to attach multiple threads. You do not necessarily need to attach three strands on each side. These clasps work well with two stranded projects and we have used these clasps to create a six stranded necklace. The tag has to be pinched and pulled away from the main body of the clasp to release it then just simply push the two parts together to connect. These multi-stranded clasps are available in gold and silver plated finishes.
Toggle Clasps Toggle clasps are becoming more popular to finish off necklaces and we find them especially good for bracelets, as these clasps are easy to do and undo with just one hand! When attaching these clasps to your necklace/bracelet you must ensure that the T-bar has enough thread to get through the loop

Torpedo Clasps Torpedo Clasps, are the smaller of the two screw clasps we stock. The eye loops on the torpedo clasps can be opened and closed to attach to necklace ends or other fixings used to complete your necklace.
Barrel Clasps Barrel Clasps are the larger of the screw clasps that we stock. We find the barrel clasps to be a bit more secure than the torpedo clasps. The eye loops on the barrel clasps can be opened and closed to attach to necklace ends or other fixings used to complete your necklace.
Magnetic Clasps Magnetic Clasps are very easy to use. Bring the two halves close together and it just snaps shut! We have found on bracelets the clasps are prone to undoing themselves as they often get caught on clothing etc. Loops at either end of the clasp do not open. These loops need to be connected to your project piece by using jump rings or necklace ends, unless part of a woven piece.
Round Magnetic Clasps These magnetic clasps are shorter but wider. Round diameter of approx.8mm, these are or feel stronger than the tubular magnetic clasps. Simply bring the two halves together and the clasps will do the rest! Loops at either end of this clasp, like the tube version, do not open so these need to be connected to your project piece by using jump rings or necklace ends, unless part of a woven piece.
